On November 22 and 23, 2016, the V Scientific Meeting of Interacademies Rioplatenses (National Academies of Veterinary and Medicine of Uruguay and the Academies of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine of Argentina) was held in the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to develop a program in which distinguished lecturers and scientists participated to discuss a subject of singular relevance and relevance for both countries “Human diseases derived from errors in the production and processing of food.”
The issue addressed from an integrated and conceptually accepted approach as “ONE HEALTH” underscores the academic concern about the need to ensure food safety in two traditionally leading countries in the production and export of food from livestock origin.
